Tennis legend Serena Williams revealed that she and her daughters were denied entry to a prestigious rooftop restaurant in Paris. The incident occurred on August 5th at The Peninsula Hotel's L’Oiseau Blanc restaurant.
Williams, who has been in Paris for the Olympics and even served as a torch bearer during the opening ceremony, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share her experience. She expressed her frustration, stating, "Yikes @peninsulaparis, I've been denied access to a rooftop to eat in an empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids. Always a first."

The retired tennis star was accompanied by her husband, Alexis Ohanian and their two daughters, 6-year-old Alexis Olympia Jr. and 11-month-old Adira River. Despite the restaurant appearing to have empty tables, they were informed that it was fully booked.
The hotel responded to Williams' tweet, apologizing for the inconvenience and explaining that the unoccupied tables were reserved for their gourmet restaurant, which was also fully booked.

Fans quickly rallied behind Williams, with one user commenting, "You can buy the whole damn place," referencing her nearly $100 million net worth.
Another supporter noted, "You were denied access because they were serving prejudice. Shame on them."
