Adidas Ends Legal Battle with Kanye West

German multinational corporation Adidas has officially ended its legal battle with American rapper Kanye West, also known as Yeezy.

This resolution marks the conclusion of a conflict that began in 2022 when Adidas severed ties with West following his antisemitic comments, which drew widespread condemnation and pressure from the American Jewish Committee.

Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden announced on Tuesday that the company had "reached an out of court settlement with West to end all legal proceedings without money exchange." He emphasized that "the drama with West belongs to the past," signaling a desire to move forward without divulging specific details of the agreement.

The fallout from the terminated partnership left Adidas with unsold Yeezy stock valued at approximately €1.2 billion (£840 million).

The company has since decided to sell the remaining inventory by the end of 2024, effectively closing this chapter of their business dealings with West.
