Asake Shatters Records with 50 Entries on Billboard Afrobeats Chart

Nigerian music sensation Asake has made history by securing 50 entries on the Billboard Afrobeats chart.

This remarkable feat was accomplished following the release of his third album, "Lungu Boy," on August 9, 2024.

The album, which features collaborations with global superstars such as Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, American superstar Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmila, has taken the music world by storm.

In the chart week of August 24, 2024, nine songs from "Lungu Boy" debuted on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart.

Among these tracks, "Active," featuring Travis Scott, soared to the number one spot, while "MMS," featuring Wizkid, debuted at number seven.

Other notable entries include "Mood" at number 12, "Fuji Vibes" at number 14, and "Suru," featuring Stormzy, at number 16.

Additional tracks like "Worldwide" entered at number 18, "Mentally" at number 20, "Skating" at number 22, and "I Swear" and "Ligali" both at number 25.
