Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticized the attempted arrest of Dele Farotimi, a prominent lawyer and activist.
Atiku described the move as an effort to "intimidate and harass citizens," warning that such actions could pave the way for establishing a one-party state in Nigeria.
Atiku emphasized the importance of safeguarding democratic principles, stating, "The attempt to silence voices of dissent is a direct threat to our democracy.
We must ensure that all citizens can express their views without fear of retribution."
