Baltasar Engonga, the former Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), finds himself at the center of a scandal that has captivated social media and sparked widespread debate.
The controversy erupted when a video surfaced showing Engonga’s wife in an intimate encounter with another man.
This revelation was brought to light by popular social critic Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, who shared the footage on Instagram, stating, "Just when I thought it was all over about this Equatorial Guinea man, the whole thing is getting more interesting."
The scandal has not only put Engonga's personal life under scrutiny but also reignited discussions about privacy and digital ethics.
Engonga, who was already embroiled in controversy due to the discovery of 400 sex tapes involving him during a fraud investigation, was subsequently dismissed from his position and arrested. First Lady Constancia Mangue Obiang expressed her outrage over the incident, calling for immediate government intervention to protect the dignity and privacy of Equatoguinean women.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue, she emphasized the need for measures to safeguard individuals in the digital age.
