The embattled Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okunneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has publicly vowed never to accept any award or recognition designed for females again.

This declaration comes in the wake of his ongoing legal troubles, which he attributes to receiving the "Best Dressed Female" award at a Nollywood movie premiere hosted by actress Eniola Ajao in March 2024. The award, which came with a ₦1 million prize, marked the beginning of a series of unfortunate events for Bobrisky.
Bobrisky's problems escalated when he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to board a KLM flight to Amsterdam. His arrest was linked to allegations of bribing EFCC officers to drop previous money laundering charges.
Following this, Bobrisky was transferred to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja for further questioning. He also faced accusations of bribing Nigerian Correctional Service officials to secure preferential treatment during his jail sentence for naira abuse.
Reflecting on these events, Bobrisky took to social media to express regret over accepting the award, stating, "My problem started when I collected Best Dressed Female with a ₦1 million prize. For my life, if I see an award for Best Dressed Female, I go disappear from that location."

Despite the controversies surrounding him, Bobrisky remains defiant, describing himself as a "baddie with class" and challenging those who question his claim to the title.
The situation has sparked widespread discussion online, with many questioning the appropriateness of awarding a male crossdresser a female-specific accolade. Meanwhile, Eniola Ajao has yet to respond to Bobrisky's claims that her award was the catalyst for his current predicaments.
