Brazilian footballer Vinicius Tobias has been left heartbroken after a DNA test confirmed that he is not the biological father of the child he believed to be his.

The 20-year-old former Real Madrid defender, who currently plays for Shakhtar Donetsk, had already gotten a tattoo in honor of the unborn child before discovering the truth.

This unexpected turn of events unfolded when his ex-girlfriend, influencer Ingrid Lima, shared the results on her Instagram stories, revealing that the baby girl named Maitê was not his daughter.

The revelation came after Lima, who had recently given birth, requested a DNA test. According to reports from Brazilian outlet Leo Dias, Lima had been unfaithful during their relationship, having an affair with an açaí delivery man named Vinicius Duarte, who is now speculated to be the real father. The couple's relationship had been tumultuous, marked by infidelity on both sides.

Despite the emotional turmoil, Lima has called for the public to stop attacking Tobias, stating that they have settled things amicably. She expressed her wishes for both of them to move forward peacefully, emphasizing that it was her decision for Tobias not to attend the delivery or post about Maitê until the DNA results were confirmed.

Vinicius Tobias, who had joined Real Madrid on loan until the end of the 2022–23 season, returned to Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2024 after two seasons with Real Madrid Castilla.
