Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, refused to testify at the House of Representatives joint committee probe on September 30th, 2024.
The investigation centers on bribery allegations involving officials from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
VeryDarkMan's refusal was due to the absence of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, who was also summoned but did not appear.
The probe, spearheaded by Hon Ginger Onwusibe, aims to address corruption claims against both the EFCC and NCS.
The committee had formally requested the presence of all relevant parties, including the EFCC Chairman and the NCS Comptroller General. When invited to speak, VeryDarkMan stated, "Today I will not say anything because an invitation was given out to me and Bobrisky but he is not here, I don’t see why I will be here and he will not so I won’t say anything but my lawyer will."
