The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has initiated an investigation into the troubling circumstances faced by Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, during their recent trip to Libya.
The team reported experiencing a hostile reception and being stranded at an abandoned airport for nearly a day, which led to the abandonment of their Nations Cup qualifying fixture against Libya.

According to reports, the Super Eagles returned to Nigeria on Monday after enduring what they described as "disturbing conditions" upon arrival in Libya.
The situation has raised concerns about player welfare and the logistics involved in international sporting events. CAF has expressed its serious concern over these "unacceptable experiences" and has referred the matter to its Disciplinary Board for a thorough investigation.
