Cole Palmer has committed his future to the club by signing a two-year contract extension. This new agreement will see Palmer remain at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2033.

The 22-year-old England international joined Chelsea from Manchester City on September 1, 2023, and has since enjoyed a remarkable debut season with the Blues. Palmer's stellar performance saw him contribute to 33 goals, scoring 22 times, which earned him this contract extension as a reward for his breakthrough campaign.

The announcement was made on August 13th, 2024, and marks a notable moment in Palmer's career as well as Chelsea's ongoing efforts to secure their key players.

Palmer's journey began in Manchester, where he was born on May 6, 2002. He joined Manchester City's academy at the Under-8 level and made his senior debut for the club in 2020.

At Chelsea, Palmer quickly made an impact, scoring his first goal for the club on October 7, 2023, and continuing to deliver impressive performances throughout the season. His technical prowess, dribbling skills, and composure on the pitch have made him a key player for the team.

Notably, Palmer scored a stoppage-time penalty against his former club Manchester City in a thrilling 4-4 draw and registered multiple goals and assists in crucial matches, including a hat-trick against Manchester United and a four-goal performance against Everton.

Palmer's contributions have not gone unnoticed, as he was named Chelsea Player of the Season, Premier League Young Player of the Season, and PFA Fans' Player of the Year. His exceptional goal against Everton in April was also nominated for Premier League Goal of the Season.

Despite being part of City's treble-winning squad in 2023, Palmer sought more regular first-team football, leading to his transfer to Chelsea for an initial fee of £40 million, potentially rising by £2.5 million in add-ons.

The 22-year-old initially signed a seven-year contract with the option of a further 12 months, but his impressive performances have earned him this early extension.
