A High Court in Maitama, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued a public summons for former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello in connection with an alleged N110.4 billion fraud case.

The court mandates Bello to appear on October 24 for arraignment alongside co-defendants Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu.

This legal action follows a 16-count indictment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concerning a criminal breach of trust.

The EFCC initially filed charges on September 24 but faced challenges in serving Bello, leading to his absence from a scheduled arraignment on October 3.

In response, the court instructed the EFCC to publish the summons in a widely read newspaper and display copies at Bello's last known address and prominent locations within the court premises.
