The legendary Portuguese footballer and five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo on Wednesday launched his highly anticipated YouTube channel.

Within just a couple of hours, the channel amassed an astonishing 1.69 million subscribers, showcasing Ronaldo's unparalleled popularity and influence in the digital realm.
The 39-year-old, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, announced the launch on his social media platforms with the enthusiastic message: "The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey."

Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' celebration, which means
'yes' in Spanish, played a pivotal role in the channel's promotion.
This celebration, first performed during his time at Real Madrid, has become a global phenomenon, imitated by fans and athletes worldwide. Ronaldo explained, "I started to say 'si', it's like 'yes', when I was in Real Madrid. When we would win, everyone would say 'siiiii' and so I started to say it."
Despite initial concerns that Ronaldo's channel could generate unsustainable costs for YouTube due to his immense popularity, the platform has embraced the opportunity.
Ronaldo's social media presence is already formidable, with 112.5 million followers on the X platform, 170 million on Facebook, and 636 million on Instagram.
As Ronaldo prepares for Al Nassr's Saudi Pro League opener against Al-Raed, his YouTube channel continues to grow rapidly, surpassing 2 million subscribers within hours of its launch. This milestone further cements Ronaldo's status as a global icon, both on and off the pitch.
