Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, for marketers.

The price has been lowered from N990 to N970 per litre. This decision was confirmed by Anthony Chiejina, the spokesperson for Dangote Group, who stated, "As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true."

The reduction follows an agreement between Dangote Refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, facilitating direct fuel purchases.

Despite the price cut, the refinery remains committed to maintaining high standards of quality. "We assure you of the best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable," Chiejina emphasized.

With a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, Dangote Refinery's initiative aligns with government efforts to bolster domestic enterprise and ensure a stable fuel supply.

The current petrol prices at Nigerian filling stations range from N1060 to N1,115 per litre, making this reduction a strategic economic measure aimed at supporting local businesses and consumers amidst fluctuating global energy markets.
