A violent confrontation recently occurred between Nigerian soldiers and bandits in the Mai-Iddo village, located in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to reports, the clash resulted in the deaths of at least three bandits. The incident unfolded as the soldiers engaged in a clearance operation around neighboring villages in Kagarko LGA, which led them to encounter the assailants.
During the ensuing fierce gun battle, the soldiers managed to rescue four farmers, including a woman, who had been abducted by the bandits. These individuals were taken from Mai-Iddo village and a nearby farm in Arikon village the previous week.
The successful raid on the bandits' hideout in Kurmin-Kare village facilitated their release. Efforts to obtain a statement from the Kaduna State Police Command were unsuccessful, as ASP Hassan Mansur, the spokesperson, was unavailable for comment.
