The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Ibrahim Mohammed, a 26-year-old man from Jada Local Government Area in Adamawa State, wanted for allegedly stealing one of the commission's vehicles.
In an official statement released on Friday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale detailed the charges against Mohammed. "Ibrahim Mohammed is wanted in connection with the theft and illegal possession of the commission’s vehicle," said Oyewale. He further urged the public to assist in locating the suspect. "Anyone with useful information as to his whereabouts should contact the EFCC or the nearest police station."
The announcement comes amid a series of high-profile actions by the EFCC, including the recent arrest of 46 suspected internet fraudsters in Warri and the return of 53 stolen vehicles and $180,300 to Canadian authorities.
These activities shows the EFCC's ongoing commitment to combating financial crimes and fraud both within Nigeria and internationally.
The EFCC has called on anyone with information about Mohammed's location to come forward immediately. "The public is hereby notified that Ibrahim Mohammed is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of stealing and illegal possession of the commission’s vehicle," the statement reads.
