A major scandal has emerged involving California State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil. The allegations were brought forth by her former chief of staff, Chad Condit, who accused the Senator of making him her "sex slave" and causing severe physical injury by forcing him to perform oral sex. This accusation has been detailed in a lawsuit filed in Sacramento Superior Court.

Condit, a 57-year-old father of three and son of former congressman Gary Condit, claims that his relationship with Alvarado-Gil was characterized by "sex-based quid pro quo."

He alleges that the Senator frequently demanded oral sex, including during a car trip which resulted in him suffering three herniated discs and a collapsed hip due to the confined space.

Condit describes an incident where Alvarado-Gil allegedly pulled down her pants and demanded, "I want you to kiss it and prove your loyalty," exposing herself to him in the process.

The lawsuit further details that Condit felt compelled to comply with these demands after months of alleged abuse, which he claims included unwelcome advances and sexual behaviors coupled with punishment and flexing of power.

Condit asserts that his resistance to these demands, particularly after his injury, led to his termination in December 2023. He also mentions that Alvarado-Gil issued him a "bogus disciplinary letter" and made threats regarding his job security.

Alvarado-Gil, who was elected in 2022 and hired Condit as her chief of staff, vehemently denies these allegations. She has branded Condit as a "disgruntled former employee" who has fabricated an outlandish story for financial gain.

Her attorney, Ognian Gavrilov, echoed this sentiment, stating, "A disgruntled former employee has fabricated an outlandish story, presented without evidence, to get a payday."

The lawsuit also implicates the California State Senate, alleging that staff members allowed the harassment to occur. Condit claims that the Secretary of the Senate blindly accepted Alvarado-Gil's retaliatory actions and ratified her abuse of him. In response, Secretary of the Senate Erika Contreras stated, "The Senate takes all complaints incredibly seriously but is unable to comment on matters involving pending litigation."
