Former US President Donald Trump made controversial remarks about Imane Khelif, the women's Olympic gold medalist boxer.
Trump insinuated that Khelif is a man, a statement that has sparked significant backlash and controversy. Khelif, who won gold in the women's welterweight category at the Paris Olympics, was allowed to compete despite being banned from the 2023 World Boxing Championships for allegedly failing gender eligibility tests.
During the podcast 'Six Feet Under,' Trump referred to Khelif as a "man" after The Undertaker emphasized the importance of "protecting" women’s sports from transgender athletes. Trump remarked, "I think it's very demeaning to women," pointing to The Undertaker's daughter as an example of young women affected by this issue. He recounted a boxing match at the Olympics, describing how Khelif's opponent, Angela Carini, was overwhelmed by Khelif's strength, suggesting it was unfair competition.
