A horrifying incident occurred at the Highfield Festival in Leipzig, Germany, when a Ferris wheel caught fire, trapping riders and causing widespread panic.
Eyewitnesses could do nothing but watch in terror as flames and thick black smoke engulfed the attraction.
Shocking footage shared on social media platforms showed the Ferris wheel continuing to rotate with carts ablaze, while fairgoers screamed for their lives.

The disaster resulted in over 30 injuries, including four police officers, with two individuals suffering severe injuries.
Many of the minor injuries were reportedly caused by smoke inhalation.
Local police spokesperson Josephine Sader told BILD, "The fire broke out in one gondola for reasons still unknown and then spread to a second one.
We currently know that there are over 30 injured people, including four injured police officers, but all of them are probably slightly injured. Two people were seriously injured. There were no fatalities."
The popular festival, which attracts around 30,000 visitors each year, saw German rapper Ski Aggu stopping his set early as the fire broke out.
Despite the calamity, one of the event organizers stated about an hour after the fire, "The show must go on."
Consequently, the festival continued as scheduled the next day, August 18.
