FG Promises to Eliminate Terror Group Lukarawas from Nigeria

The Nigerian Government, through National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, on Wednesday made a resolute declaration to eliminate the Lukarawas terror group from Nigeria.

Speaking at the Comptroller General of Customs’ Conference in Abuja, Ribadu emphasized the government's determination by stating, "This Lukarawas terror group, or whatever it is called, is making a mistake. Nobody ever dares Tinubu and wins. They have come at the wrong time. Nobody has ever defeated Tinubu. We will kick you out of Nigeria."

This statement signifies the government's commitment to combating terrorism, particularly in light of recent activities by the Lukarawas group, which has been causing havoc in the North-West region, specifically in Kebbi and Sokoto states.

The emergence of this group was confirmed by Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters just a week prior, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the area. The government has reported massive progress against insecurity, with hundreds of bandits being neutralized in recent months.
