Gov Makinde Resumes Duties After One-Month Leave, Announces New Appointments


Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has returned from his one-month leave and announced a series of new appointments.


The governor had taken a four-week annual leave last month, during which he handed over the leadership of the state to his deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal. Upon resuming office on Monday, September 9, 2024, Makinde made several key appointments.


Engr. Akin Akinleye was appointed as the Executive Assistant on Sports Development. Additionally, the governor approved appointments to three significant boards: the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service, the Oyo State Pension Board, and the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.


These appointments were confirmed in a statement signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, and disseminated through the Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.


The new appointees to the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service Board include Mogaji Oladosu Ademola (Vice Chairman, Oyo South), Hon. Akinsola Ismael (Member, Oyo South), Mrs. Oluwakemi Roseline Alabi (Member, Oyo North), Alhaji Mojeed Agbaje (Member, Oyo North), Oladipupo Christiana Oluwarinu (Member, Oyo Central), and Mr. Oyegbami Oyewale (Member, Oyo Central).


For the Oyo State Pension Board, Hon. Oluwatubosun Babarinde (Member, Oyo Central) and Adeniyi Busola Esther (Member, Oyo South) were appointed.


The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State saw the appointments of Engr. Mudasiru Busari (Member, Oyo North), Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi (Member, Oyo Central), and Prince Olumuyiwa Akinbiyi (Member, Oyo South).


All these appointments are effective immediately, as stated by Governor Makinde.
