Former Director-General of Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential campaign council, Doyin Okupe on Monday made a resolute statement on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He declared that the South West would no longer tolerate any insults directed at President Bola Tinubu. Okupe emphasized, "From now on, we are no longer going to keep quiet for people who think they can just insult Bola Tinubu."

He described Tinubu as "the apple of our eyes" in the South West, asserting that despite current hardships faced by millions of Nigerians due to Tinubu's policies, there is no justification for complaints.

Okupe expressed confidence that any present difficulties would eventually be resolved, stating, "If things are not looking well now, they’ll look well because we know him."
