Human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has offered his critical perspective on President Bola Tinubu's administration. Adeyanju argues that the persistent hardship in Nigeria will not abate even if Tinubu remains in power for 300 years, due to a lack of effective solutions to the country's challenges.

Adeyanju's critique is multifaceted, addressing both economic policies and governance issues. He highlights the disparity between the rich and poor, noting that while the wealthy enjoy tax breaks, the poor face increased costs, particularly with petrol prices. He states, "The poor are taxed to pay triple the price, and now quadruple the price of petrol cannot be said to be a nation for poor people."

Adeyanju also points out the government's handling of civil unrest, specifically the arrest and arraignment of minors on charges of treasonable felony. He contrasts this with the lack of accountability for bandits and Boko Haram members, suggesting a disproportionate response by the government.

He remarks, "Bandits operate for 7, 8 hours unchallenged in most parts of the country," yet minors protesting bad governance are arrested and charged.

Adeyanju suggests that the solution lies in collective action against the current administration. He advises, "Nigerians should press upon the political actors to unite against the Tinubu government and APC government." He emphasizes the need for unity among opposition parties to dismantle the ruling party's influence.
