Afrobeats singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has made a compelling call to Nigerian politicians to adopt more effective measures in addressing the pervasive hardship and poor governance in the country.

In an interview on 'The Breakfast Club,' Rema emphasized that temporary relief efforts, such as distributing rice, are insufficient and unsustainable. He stated, "It's not about giving rice. Do you know if some kids have an allergy to rice? What about tomorrow? What are they going to eat tomorrow?"
Rema urged politicians to create sustainable platforms that would consistently provide essential services such as education, clothing, and shelter for the masses. He highlighted the need for long-term solutions that go beyond immediate relief, advocating for systemic changes that would ensure continuous support for the needy.
Additionally, Rema revealed his ongoing advisory role with the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, indicating his active involvement in shaping policies aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
This call to action comes amidst growing concerns over the increasing hardship faced by Nigerians under the current government, as expressed by various public figures and civil society groups.
