Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, strategically released a medical report asserting her "excellent health," positioning herself as fit for the presidency at age 59.

This move aims to challenge her rival, Donald Trump, aged 78, to disclose his health records amidst growing public scrutiny about his age and cognitive abilities.

Harris's physician, Joshua Simmons, described her physical and mental condition as resilient, with her latest physical exam being "unremarkable."

The report notes Harris's management of minor health issues like seasonal allergies, hives, and slight nearsightedness.

In contrast, Trump's status as the oldest presidential nominee in U.S. history highlights the absence of detailed medical disclosures from his camp, intensifying the debate over candidate transparency and fitness.

Despite Trump's insistence on being fully fit, he has not released any comprehensive medical report for his campaign. His previous release, a note from his former White House doctor in late 2023, declared him in "excellent" health but lacked details on the tests conducted during his September 2023 physical.

Harris's campaign has drawn attention to a series of articles in the New York Times that raised concerns about Trump's failure to disclose basic health information.

The newspaper also published an analysis of Trump's language, noting that his speeches are increasingly long, "confused," and include vulgarities, which experts suggest could be a sign of cognitive change.
