Sean "Diddy" Combs' legal team has filed a motion in Federal District Court in Manhattan to dismiss a sexual assault lawsuit brought against him by music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr.

The lawsuit, which accuses Combs of groping, drugging, and forcing Jones to solicit prostitutes, has been described by Combs' lawyers as "baseless" and "replete with far-fetched tales of misconduct."

Jones, who worked on Combs' 2023 album "The Love Album: Off the Grid," alleges that the hip-hop mogul threatened him with violence, including a bizarre claim that Combs once threatened to "eat Mr. Jones’s face."

The lawsuit also mentions other industry figures, including Cuba Gooding Jr., who was added as a defendant in March 2024 after Jones claimed he was groped by the actor.

Combs' legal team argues that Jones' claims lack specific details, such as the time and place of the alleged incidents, and are an attempt to "generate media hype and exploit it to extract a settlement."

This lawsuit is one of several recent legal battles for Combs, who has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct dating back to the 1990s and early 2000s. Despite these accusations, Combs has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating in December 2023, "I did not do any of the awful things being alleged."

The case has garnered massive media attention, partly due to the involvement of high-profile individuals and the ongoing federal investigation into Combs' conduct, which included raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami Beach in March 2024.

As the legal proceedings continue, both parties are set to appear for a telephone conference as ordered by Southern District of New York Judge J. Paul Oetken.
