I Want To Visit Nigeria – Tammy Abraham Expresses Desire Despite Snubbing Super Eagles

Esther

AC Milan striker and England international footballer, Tammy Abraham has expressed a strong desire to visit Nigeria, despite having previously declined the opportunity to play for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles.

Born in Camberwell, London, to Nigerian parents, Abraham holds fond memories of his time in Nigeria and maintains a deep connection to the country through his upbringing.

In an interview with Milan TV, Abraham stated, "I have a few Nigerian friends. I grew up in an area with many Nigerians. I was raised with that culture, I’ve been to Nigeria, and I hope to go back soon. My mom often cooks Nigerian dishes." This statement highlights his enduring ties to Nigerian culture and his appreciation for his heritage.

In 2017, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made efforts to recruit Abraham for the Super Eagles. However, he ultimately chose to commit his international future to the England national team, making his competitive debut in 2020 against the Czech Republic. Since then, the 27-year-old has made 11 appearances for England, scoring three goals.
