‘I Won’t Be Inviting Them’ – Trump Announces Removal of Nikki Haley, Pompeo

President-elect Donald Trump has publicly announced that he will not be inviting Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo to join his new administration.

This decision was shared via a social media post on Truth Social, where Trump stated, "I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation."

Despite this exclusion, Trump expressed his appreciation for their past service, saying, "I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our country."

Nikki Haley, who served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, had endorsed him for president despite having been critical during the Republican primaries.

She remarked on social media, "I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations," and wished him success in his upcoming term.

Similarly, Mike Pompeo, who held positions as Secretary of State and CIA Director, had been considered a potential candidate for defense secretary. He had also endorsed Trump, highlighting concerns over national security under the Biden-Harris administration.

The announcement comes as Trump prepares for his inauguration on January 20, 2025, and continues to meet with potential candidates for his administration.
