It Was A Skit, She Never Tore My Passport - Man Appeals To Immigration Officers [VIDEO]

Nigerian man has come forward to clarify that the viral video showing his wife allegedly tearing his international passport was merely a skit.

The incident, which took place at Lagos International Airport, led to the woman's arrest and widespread online speculation.

The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, initially accused his wife of tearing his passport to prevent him from traveling back.

This accusation was supported by a video where the wife admitted to tearing the document.

However, after she was detained by immigration officers and taken to Abuja for questioning, the husband released another video retracting his earlier statements.

"I'm here with my kids to send an appeal to the public of Nigeria, to the whole world also, that what my wife tore, is not passport," he said. "Please be a blogger, when you're blogging, blog and blog well. Don't go and blog to spoil things, please. She never tore my passport, she never spoilt my passport. My passport is intact." He further added, "We're doing a skit."

The man accused bloggers of escalating the situation and causing unnecessary problems. He emphasized that the entire episode was staged and urged the public and immigration officers to understand that it was not a serious incident.
