Popular American streamer and content creator, Kai Cenat, has announced his decision to quit streaming to pursue a new career in professional basketball.

The YouTuber made this surprising revelation to his fans via X on Sunday, September 23, 2024. In his announcement, Cenat stated, "I’m quitting streaming and becoming a professional basketball player. Goodbye." Cenat, who has been a significant figure in the streaming community, is also known for his mentorship of Nigerian streamer Peller.

Earlier this year, he made headlines during his visit to Nigeria, where he met Afrobeats singer Davido and contributed to the renovation of a school in the Makoko community in Lagos State. He also promised to return to Nigeria in December.
