Kamala Harris, Tim Walz Under Fire for 'Staged' Doritos Purchase [VIDEO]

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, found themselves at the center of a controversy.

The duo made a pit stop at a Sheetz convenience store, where they were seen purchasing snacks. However, what seemed like a casual moment quickly turned into a public relations debacle.

In the footage, Walz can be seen handing Harris a bag of Doritos, with the caption, "every road trip needs a snack break." However, the authenticity of the moment was called into question when it was revealed that the scene had been filmed twice. Critics, including Donald Trump Jr., labelled the video as "weird and cringe," with one user suggesting it appeared "so fake they filmed it twice."

Adding to the controversy, Harris had initially requested corn nuts in the video, but Walz handed her Doritos instead, leading to an improvised exchange. This discrepancy did not go unnoticed by the public, further fueling the criticism.

The staged nature of the event drew sharp remarks from TV personality Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who questioned the appropriateness of such actions from a potential commander-in-chief. "That’s the emotional response of the leader of the free world? To binge-eat a bag of Doritos? Are you kidding me?" Hasselbeck remarked on Fox News.
