Katsina State Government Eases Curfew

The Katsina State Government on Saturday announced a relaxation of the curfew that had been imposed across the state.

This decision was communicated by the state's Director of Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar'adua, who stated, "The curfew which restricted movement from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am has now been relaxed to begin from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am across the state."

The adjustment in curfew hours came after Acting Governor Malam Faruk Lawal reviewed reports indicating an improvement in the security situation throughout the region.

The Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, conveyed that the Acting Governor was satisfied with these reports and thus ordered the immediate review of the curfew.

In his statement, Malam Faruk Lawal expressed appreciation for the general conduct of the security personnel and the cooperation of the residents during the period of the curfew. He advised the citizens to remain law-abiding as they resume their daily routines.
