Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has recently expressed his deep regret for not engaging in internet fraud, commonly known as 'Yahoo Yahoo,' amid the rising economic challenges in Nigeria.

On his Instagram page, Aremu lamented that despite his efforts to make a legitimate living, he faces dire financial struggles.

He stated, "All the days wey dem dey talk about Yahoo Yahoo, na today I regret pass sey I no do am. Legitimate hustling never felt super useless."

The actor's outburst came in response to the recent fuel price hike in Nigeria, where the cost per litre surged from N617 to N897.

This increase has exacerbated the already challenging economic conditions, pushing many Nigerians, including Aremu, to voice their frustrations on social media.

Aremu Afolayan, born on August 2, 1980, is a well-known figure in the Nigerian film industry and the brother of fellow actor Kunle Afolayan. Despite his fame, Aremu has openly shared his financial difficulties, which have led him to question the value of legal work in the current economic climate.

He remarked, "Legitimate hustling feels super useless," reflecting the sentiments of many Nigerians who struggle to make ends meet through honest means.
