Manchester United is reportedly in discussions with former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez as a potential replacement for their current manager, Erik ten Hag.
The talks have intensified following United's disappointing start to the season, which sees them languishing in 12th place in the Premier League table.

A four-man delegation, led by United's chief executive Omar Berrada, recently traveled to Barcelona for face-to-face meetings with Xavi's representatives. Despite these developments, club sources have downplayed the importance of the talks, attributing the high-level meetings in Barcelona to co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's presence there for the America's Cup sailing competition.
Xavi, who has been out of work since leaving Barcelona in the summer after leading them to a league and cup double, is seen as an attractive option due to his coaching style influenced by Pep Guardiola.
While Manchester United's preference is to stand by Ten Hag, who recently secured a 2-1 victory against Brentford, the pressure remains on him to improve results. Other managerial candidates, such as Thomas Tuchel, Ruben Amorim, and Edin Terzic, have also been considered, but Xavi's availability makes him a compelling choice for the club's hierarchy.
