A man has been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, for performing penis enlargement surgeries without any medical qualifications for the past 20 years.

Kittikorn Songsri, aged 36, reportedly carried out implant surgeries and filler injections on hundreds of patients, charging up to £450 each. Despite having no medical license and only a secondary school education, Songsri began teaching himself how to perform these procedures at the age of 14.

The police were alerted to his illegal practice after a client reported suffering a severe infection following silicone injections. During the investigation, it was revealed that Songsri had been advertising his services via a Facebook page.

The Thai police from the Consumer Protection Division arranged for an undercover officer to contact him, posing as a prospective client. This led to a raid on his premises, where officers found beds and equipment that did not meet the required hygiene standards for medical procedures.

Senior medics at the British Association of Urological Surgeons have previously warned that there is "no definitive evidence" proving the efficacy of such procedures and urged clinics to stop misleading vulnerable patients. They emphasized the need for psychological treatment and reassurance instead of unnecessary surgical interventions.

The arrest comes amid a growing trend of men seeking cosmetic surgeries, including Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs), liposuction, and ab implants. However, experts caution that these procedures can have brutal side effects, such as severe infections, tissue death, and the need for skin grafts. In some cases, patients have experienced filler migration, resulting in irregular shapes or hardened areas that may require further medical intervention.
