Tabby Brown, a former Playboy model and ex-girlfriend of renowned footballer Mario Balotelli, has passed away following complications from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure.

The 38-year-old model, who had also dated footballer Raheem Sterling, died just days after returning to the UK from the Dominican Republic, where she underwent the cosmetic surgery.

An inquest at South London Coroners Court, led by Coroner Julian Morris, confirmed that Brown's death was caused by a fat embolism, a rare but known complication of liposuction associated with the BBL procedure. "The postmortem concluded that Tabby's cause of death was fat embolism caused by liposuction," stated Coroner Morris. "Fat embolisms are a known and rare complication but can occur with this type of surgery."

Brown's family, including her mother, brother, and sister, paid tribute to her during the inquest.

In a heartfelt statement, they expressed their grief and cherished memories of Tabby. "After Tabby's surgery abroad, she returned to the family home and was cared for by our mother, who was under the impression she had picked up a viral infection whilst travelling," they shared. "Tabby did not inform her mother that she'd had surgery." Known for her vibrant personality and successful career, Tabby Brown was a familiar face in music videos and advertising campaigns for major brands. Her family described her as "an avid fitness enthusiast" and a "foodie" who enjoyed baking.

They added, "Tabby was well known and well-liked by many personally and professionally. She had a big laugh, smile, and a personality that charmed many and matched her beauty."
