Abdulmumuni Abiola, son of the late Nigerian political icon MKO Abiola, has publicly declared that he will "never forgive" his elder brother, Kola Abiola.

The conflict revolves around the alleged withholding of a £650,000 inheritance bequeathed to MKO Abiola's first four wives and their children. Abdulmumuni accuses Kola of refusing to distribute the funds despite conducting blood tests to confirm the rightful heirs.

Abdulmumuni specifically highlights the denial of £150,000 owed to his mother, Kudirat Olayinka Abiola, citing Kola's justification based on British legal constraints. Kola reportedly argued that since Kudirat passed away before MKO, British law prevented him from releasing the funds. However, Abdulmumuni contends that Kola could have chosen to distribute the money if he wished.

Further intensifying the familial rift, Abdulmumuni alleges that Kola sold their mother's UK apartment without informing the family. He perceives these actions as systematic attempts to "impoverish my mum’s side of the family," leading to his inability to forgive Kola.
