The current head coach of Fenerbahçe, José Mourinho has expressed his sentiments regarding Manchester United's recent struggles. As he prepares to face his former club in the Europa League, Mourinho stated, "I wish the best to Man Utd since the moment I left."

Reflecting on his tenure at Old Trafford from 2016 to 2018, during which he secured the League Cup and Europa League, Mourinho emphasized that he harbors no ill will towards the club. "I left with a good feeling for the club, with a good feeling for the fans, and I want the best for them," he remarked.

Despite United's challenging start to the season under manager Erik ten Hag, which included draws in their first two European matches against Twente and Porto, Mourinho remains optimistic about their potential.

He noted, "They have a better team than the results are showing," and added, "They will succeed sooner or later. Hopefully sooner and hopefully before one day I go back to the Premier League and they become my opponents."

Mourinho also highlighted the difference in managerial support between his time at United and the current regime, stating, "What happened for sure, because it's very objective, is that they kept faith with the coach, they support the coach, who is staying season after season and that means stability, means trust, and they are giving him conditions to keep developing his job." He concluded by acknowledging the high potential of the team, asserting, "The potential of the team is high."
