The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, for allegedly deceiving the public with unregistered products. The ministry has been promoting and selling items such as Miracle Water and Miracle Soap, claiming they possess healing properties.

In a statement released on September 8, 2024, and signed by NAFDAC's Director General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, the agency warned Nigerians about the fraudulent activities of the ministry. "NAFDAC wishes to alert the public about the activities of a faith-based organisation, Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, which has been using the NAFDAC name to deceive unsuspecting individuals," the statement read.

Numerous petitions from concerned citizens have prompted this investigation. These petitions highlighted that the ministry, located at Km 5 Effurun, Sapele Road, Delta State, has been falsely advertising its products as NAFDAC-registered. The products in question include Miracle & Healing Water, River Jordan Water and A New Beginning Mount Camel Miracle Water, among others.

Upon receiving these complaints, NAFDAC's Delta State Coordinator covertly purchased some of the Miracle Water for 3000 naira and confirmed that the products were not registered. Despite evidence, officials from the ministry denied producing these items, claiming only the logo and address on the labels were theirs.

Further complicating the investigation, the ministry failed to cooperate with NAFDAC officials during visits and did not honor invitations for further discussions. Instead, they submitted legal documents asking for more time to organize their paperwork.

NAFDAC has since sealed the Globod Table Water factory, which was found to be aiding in the production and sale of these unregistered products. "At this point, it is very clear that Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries is not ready to present itself for investigation of production and advertisement of suspected falsified, unwholesome and unregistered miracle products," the agency stated.

The public is advised to stop patronizing these so-called Miracle products. "NAFDAC is a scientific organization that is guided by verifiable scientific facts before registering any product," emphasized Prof Adeyeye.
