The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has taken steps to address and streamline the Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) application process, following recent upgrades to payment platforms by Nigerian financial institutions.

This initiative was announced by the NIS Comptroller General, Kemi Nandap, through a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo.

The primary concern addressed by the NIS involves the challenges faced by applicants due to system upgrades in payment platforms.

These upgrades had temporarily disrupted the VOA application process, prompting the NIS to reassure the public of the functionality of all its platforms. As part of this reassurance, Nandap emphasized that applicants can now apply for VOA from the comfort of their homes and make payments online using bank cards, ensuring a seamless transaction experience.
