The Nigerian Air Force, as part of Operation Hadin Kai, executed a series of airstrikes targeting terrorist strongholds on Kwallaram and Arainna Ciki islands in Borno State.

This strategic offensive resulted in the elimination of over 70 extremist members, significantly disrupting their operations.

Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, confirmed the success of these airstrikes in a statement released on November 9, 2024. He noted that "while more than 70 extremist members were eliminated at Kwallaram, several more were killed at Arainna Ciki," underscoring the effectiveness of the coordinated assault.

The operation was not limited to aerial attacks; ground troops also played a crucial role by recovering a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition.

This included 106 AK47 rifles, 38 fabricated rifles, and various other firearms and explosives, further crippling the terrorists' capabilities.

Beyond Borno, the military's efforts extended to the Niger Delta region, where they targeted and dismantled illegal refining sites.

These actions disrupted illicit activities and showcased Nigeria's broader commitment to combating terrorism and securing national stability.
