NLC President Ajaero Released After Police Questioning Over Terrorism Financing Allegations

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ajaero, was released after being questioned by the police at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) office in Abuja.

The questioning, which lasted for about an hour, was related to alleged links to terrorism financing.

Ajaero arrived at the IRT command in Guzape at 10:20 a.m., accompanied by renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana.

The police summons has sparked reactions across the country. Labour Party chieftain Okorie criticized the federal government and police, stating, "You can’t silence Ajaero."
