The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC Ltd) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding false claims that it is selling employment slots.
The corporation categorically denied these allegations, emphasizing that it does not engage in such practices.
"NNPC Ltd wishes to inform the general public that we are not selling employment slots," a spokesperson for the corporation stated.
"Any claims suggesting otherwise are entirely false and should be disregarded."
The warning comes amid rising concerns over fraudulent activities targeting job seekers.
Scammers have been reportedly exploiting the high unemployment rate by promising job placements at NNPC Ltd in exchange for money.
The corporation urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. "We advise everyone to be cautious and not fall victim to these scams.
NNPC Ltd follows a transparent and merit-based recruitment process," the spokesperson added.
