NNPC Mobilizes 300 Trucks to Dangote Refinery for Petrol Loading [PICTURES]

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has deployed 300 trucks to the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

This mobilization is in preparation for the scheduled petrol loading set to commence on Sunday, September 15, 2024. As of Saturday afternoon, over 100 trucks had already arrived at the refinery's fuel loading gantry, with hundreds more en route.


The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC, Olufemi Soneye, confirmed the development, stating, "We (NNPC Ltd) have started deploying our trucks and vessels to the Dangote Refinery to lift PMS (petrol), in preparation for the scheduled lifting date of September 15th, as set by the refinery."

Soneye further elaborated on the company's readiness, saying, "Our trucks and personnel are already on site, ready to begin lifting. We are expecting more trucks, and the deployment will continue throughout the weekend so we can start loading as soon as the refinery begins operations on the 15th (tomorrow)."


The announcement was also made via social media, where Soneye posted on X (formerly Twitter), "NNPC Ltd. trucks are arriving at the Dangote Refinery in preparation for the scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024. By the end of today, at least 300 trucks will be stationed at the refinery’s fuel loading gantry."

This strategic deployment aims to ensure the operational readiness of the Dangote Refinery, which is poised to play a crucial role in meeting Nigeria's fuel demands.
