No One is Above the Party - PDP Sends Message to Wike

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday took a firm stance against Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

During a state congress at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt, Wike issued a stern warning to PDP governors, cautioning them against interfering in the party's affairs in Rivers State.

He declared, "Let me assure all of you, not while we live will anybody take away the structure of the PDP from us. But let me tell people, I hear some governors who say they will take over the structure and give back to somebody."

In response, PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba addressed the press in Abuja, asserting, "No one is above this party. It is the People’s Democratic Party."

He further explained that the party had established reconciliation and disciplinary committees with a clear mandate to address these issues, stating, "We will wait for their report."
