Manchester City executives have assured manager Pep Guardiola and the team that they will prevail in the high-profile legal case against the Premier League.

This case involves 115 charges of alleged financial misconduct spanning from 2009 to 2018. The trial, often referred to as the "trial of the century," is set to begin on Monday and is expected to last ten weeks, with a verdict anticipated early next year.
Aymeric Laporte, a former player who won the title five times at the Etihad before moving to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, revealed the internal communications within the club.

According to Laporte, "When I was there and the news broke, the sporting director (Txiki Begiristain) and the CEO (Ferran Soriano) came and told all the players and staff that we can all be very calm because not one rule has been broken by Man City." He added, "They told us everything was fine so that’s why we all think City will be fine. I don’t think there will be any issues."
This reassurance comes at a crucial time for Manchester City, a club that has lifted eight league titles since 2012, including six of the last seven. The confidence expressed by the club's top brass aims to maintain morale and focus among the players and staff as they navigate this challenging period.
