The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State has expressed major concerns regarding the ongoing local government elections. The party raised an alarm over the alleged distribution of two result sheets instead of one to polling units, which they argued could compromise the election's integrity.

This issue was compounded by the late distribution of electoral materials, with reports indicating that election officials were still collecting materials from the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission office in Abeokuta at 7:32 am, just minutes before the scheduled 8:00 am start time.

Waliu Oladipupo, the PDP state agent, voiced his worries to newsmen, emphasizing that these irregularities might disenfranchise many voters. He stated, "Imagine somebody that is going to Ogun Waterside. Do you think they will get to their destination on time, having slated the election for 8:am? I doubt the credibility of the election."

Consequently, the PDP has requested an extension of voting time beyond the originally scheduled 2:00 pm to ensure all voters have the opportunity to cast their votes.

Additionally, the party insisted that results should be declared at the polling units and throughout the collation centers to maintain transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
