Ondo Decides 2024: Elderly Woman Confesses to Being Paid for Votes [VIDEO]

A viral video has surfaced featuring an elderly woman from Ondo State who claims she and her family were paid to cast their votes.

This revelation has sparked widespread concern about the integrity of the electoral process. The woman stated, "We have voted; the voting process went on peacefully. There were no problems, there were no fights. We have voted and we have been paid; all of us."

Despite her admission, others around her quickly cautioned against openly discussing the vote-buying.

The election saw incumbent governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leading against 16 other candidates, including Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Reports from ICMNEWS Watching The Vote highlighted that APC agents allegedly offered cash inducements of N20,000 to voters at various polling units, yet security agencies reportedly did not intervene.

In some areas, both PDP and APC agents were observed bribing voters with cash incentives ranging from N5,000 to N10,000.

Despite these serious allegations, the overall electoral process was described as peaceful.
