Agboola Ajayi, the candidate representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), achieved a decisive victory at his polling unit.

Ajayi secured 194 votes at Apoi Ward II, Unit 004 in Kiribo, Ese Odo Local Council Area, overwhelmingly surpassing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who managed to garner only 3 votes.

Despite this personal success, Ajayi expressed serious concerns regarding the overall integrity of the electoral process. He criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what he described as a compromised system.

"It's sad INEC can’t conduct an election well in one state," Ajayi lamented, highlighting the malfunctioning Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices that delayed voter processing.

"BVAS aren’t working, it took about 10 minutes to capture me," he noted, suggesting deliberate inefficiencies on the part of INEC and the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola.

Ajayi also pointed to widespread reports of vote-buying, which he condemned as a "very shameful exercise" that marred the election's credibility.
