Victor Osimhen's future remains uncertain as both his potential moves to Chelsea and Al Ahli have fallen through.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian striker's anticipated transfer to Chelsea collapsed just two hours before the transfer window closed on August 30, 2024. Despite intense negotiations, Chelsea and Osimhen could not finalize an agreement.
Romano reported that Napoli had accepted an €80 million ($88.5 million) offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli. However, Osimhen expressed reservations about leaving European football, which left Chelsea in a position to potentially secure his signature. Unfortunately, the deal with Chelsea also failed to materialize.
Osimhen's situation is further complicated by his deteriorating relationship with Napoli. Described as "completely broken," the rift has left the 25-year-old Super Eagles striker in a precarious position.
Sky Sport Italia noted that although Osimhen stayed at Napoli past the transfer deadline, he may not play for the club again. His agent, Roberto Calenda, emphasized Osimhen's desire to remain in Europe, rejecting a move to the Saudi club.
