Victor Osimhen's remarkable overhead kick goal for Galatasaray against Antalyaspor has etched its place in the record books, as reported by DAILY POST on October 22, 2024.

This extraordinary strike was only the second goal globally to surpass the 2.30-meter height barrier, with Osimhen's goal reaching an impressive 2.32 meters.

The only other goal to exceed this feat was Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic overhead kick for Real Madrid against Juventus during the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in the 2017/2018 season, which was executed from a height of 2.38 meters.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in the summer, has already made a significant impact by scoring three goals for the Turkish club. His latest achievement not only highlights his exceptional talent but also places him in close contention with one of football's greatest players, Ronaldo.

The Nigerian forward's acrobatic goal has sparked discussions about its potential nomination for the FIFA Puskás Award, which honors the most beautiful goal scored in a calendar year.
